So big!!!

I was just curious to know if any of you who read our blog know of how we could "upgrade" this papasan chair for a bigger kid version. Timmy is quickly outgrowing it, but it is a lifesaver during those times when he doesn't feel good for some reason and we want him to be in a comfortable place close to us where he can fall asleep when he is ready.

Here is what I like about it:
  • it keeps him at a good angle for his reflux
  • it is soft and well padded, and the padding can be removed and machine washed when he pukes on it
  • I can move it around the house as needed
  • it straps him in, so he can't fall out during the night when I am sleeping, and he can't wiggle himself flat during the night
  • if we travel, it folds flat to fit easily in the car

Actually, if you know of a bigger kid infant swing, I would be interested in hearing about that as well.

I was actually thinking about this problem/scenario the other day. Is a bean bag chair an option? It would mold to his form and most have a wipe-down material. There are child size bean bag chairs, of course. What a little sweetie!

our phil & ted stroller has an attachment that you can buy to make it into a double stroller. but the attachment can also double as a bouncer and a toddler chair. it holds up to a 3 year old. i don't know if it's exactly what you are looking for but worth checking into here is the website link... http://www.philandteds.com/lazyted_index.htm

let me know what you think. loveyabunches aunt bee

FYI - These are some of the other options I am looking at. If anyone has used these, let me know how they would work for a 1 year old with frequently poor head control.

I think this is similar to what the therapist was telling me about this morning: a Soft Touch Sitter... the only problem being that it can take 5-6 months to come in... :-(
